  • Year 2012-2013

    This year the organisation promoted the concept of volunteerism and trained 50 youths from three blocks i.e Astha, Sehore and Icchawar. The training was given in two batches. All these youths volunteer with the support of panchayats assisted the different beneficiaries at village level on different schemes including water and sanitation schemes. Beside this the organisation played a roleof technical agency and sensitized 6000 beneficiaries on the water and sanitation related issues under the Government schemes “Maryada”. The organisation was successful in creating demand and about 500 families constructed the toilets.

    The organisation worked on provision of social security benefits to disabled people and 10 training camps were organized in which visual, physical and mental disability were issued disability certificates, railway concession pass and support equipment. The organisation also assisted the health department in Sehore to stream line the process related to institutional delivery. During the process the different challenges related to scheme was understood and the same was shared with district administration to stream line the process. The main focus for any project was to study the issues at field level and suggest corrective action so that the different schemes may be implemented in better way.

  • Year 2013-2014

    Awareness Campaign on WASH was organised in coordination with the district administration with an objective to generate demands and usage of safe and hygienic sanitary toilets. Campaign was launched in 50 Gram Panchayats through which 5000 villagers were sensitized on drinking water and sanitation hygiene. SIPA played the role of provided technical and handholding support to the beneficiaries. A total of 1000 toilets were constructed in the rural areas. The organisation worked on provision of social security benefits to disabled people and through 10 camps, 625 people with visual, physical and mental disability were issued disability certificates, railway concession pass and support equipment like calliper, wheel chairs, walking sticks etc. Beside this the organisation worked for provision of basic services to the poor and health was one of the main issues. About700 labourers were also sensitized on the issue of entitlements.

    SIPA initiated efforts with ITC-Govt of MP to implement the most prestigious IWMP project in Sehore block, having a clear vision to strengthen the PRIs and to create Watershed model.The project area comprises of 10 villages under six micro watersheds. The project area is the catchment of Kolans River which feeds badatalab of Bhopal.

  • Year 2014-2015

    This year the focus was on the on-going activities taken in last financial year along with focus on research and demonstration related pilot project. All theseresearch and demonstration project were field based which included implementation and fine tune it so as to replicate the models in other areas. One of such innovative project was “root irrigation system”. Sehore is facing shortage of water and looking into this root irrigation system was promoted in Gram Panchayat Uljhawan. The panchayat was taken into confidence and 300 plantations was done on panchayat land. In the same land root irrigation system was implemented. Living compost was also promoted in this area which included field demonstrating the concept. All the living compost prepared was used for 300 plantations. This was done to test the success as well as promote the same concept for its replication in other areas. This was implemented with the support of expert from Andhra Pradesh.

    SIPA was continuously involved in consolidation the activities taken in the last financial year. During this year awareness campaign on WASH was organised in coordination with the district administration with an objective to generate demands and usage of safe and hygienic sanitary toilets. Beside this one of the major activities in this financial year was continuous implementation of IWMP watershed project activities.

  • Year 2016-2017

    Conducted field level trainings in Sehore and Raisen district under the aegis of ITC SunehraKal Mission with the intent of transforming the selected villages into ‘adarsh gram’ or model villages in the month of August and early September 2017. In the field level training, lacunas in delivery of government schemes and other citizen centric service were identified and an action plan to resolve the same was formulated in consensus with the villagers.

    Subsequently, in the end of September, an experience sharing workshop was conducted to evaluate the progress made by villages in resolving the issues identified in the village during field level training. Further, the participants attending the workshop were trained to access government portals such as Panchayat Darpan, MGNREGS site, LokSevaPrabandhan etc. The intent was to develop understanding about the usage of this portal among the villagers and thereby enhancing their access to government schemes which are managed digitally and bridging the huge gap of digital divide between rural and urban divide. The workshop also aimed to developed understanding about the resource envelope of the village and the conditionality’s associated with its expenditure under various government programs. Further training for raising issues at the village Gram Sabha to be conducted on 2nd October was deliberated and formulated in proper manner to ensure that they are included in the agenda of the Gram Sabha and suitable action in furtherance of its resolution is taken.
